I found this article on the American Thinker site. http://www.americanthinker.com/articles.php?article_id=5741

If this is not Guru(AKA Kevin) I am a Liberal

Useful Idiots are naïve, foolish, ignorant of facts, unrealistically idealistic, dreamers, willfully in denial or deceptive. They hail from the ranks of the chronically unhappy, the anarchists, the aspiring revolutionaries, the neurotics who are at war with life, the disaffected alienated from government, corporations, and just about any and all institutions of society. The Useful Idiot can be a billionaire, a movie star, an academe of renown, a politician, or from any other segment of the population.
Arguably, the most dangerous variant of the Useful Idiot is the “Politically Correct.” He is the master practitioner of euphemism, hedging, doubletalk, and outright deception.
The Useful Idiot derives satisfaction from being anti-establishment. He finds perverse gratification in aiding the forces that aim to dismantle an existing order, whatever it may be: an order he neither approves of nor he feels he belongs to.
The Useful Idiot is conflicted and dishonest. He fails to look inside himself and discover the causes of his own problems and unhappiness while he readily enlists himself in causes that validate his distorted perception.
Understandably, it is easier to blame others and the outside world than to examine oneself with an eye to self-discovery and self-improvement. Furthermore, criticizing and complaining—liberal practices of the Useful Idiot—require little talent and energy. The Useful Idiot is a great armchair philosopher and “Monday Morning Quarterback.”
The Useful Idiot is not the same as a person who honestly has a different point of view. A society without honest and open differences of views is a dead society. Critical, different and fresh ideas are the life blood of a living society—the very anathema of autocracies where the official position is sacrosanct.
Even a “normal” person spends a great deal more energy aiming to fix things out there than working to overcome his own flaws and shortcomings, or contribute positively to the larger society. People don’t like to take stock of what they are doing or not doing that is responsible for the conditions they disapprove.
But the Useful Idiot takes things much farther. The Useful Idiot, among other things, is a master practitioner of scapegoating. He assigns blame to others while absolving himself of responsibility, has a long handy list of candidates for blaming anything and everything, and by living a distorted life, he contributes to the ills of society

What absolute crap. This is the typical personal attack I endure here because you can’t refute my arguments, so instead of presenting real facts of your own you people resort to this name-calling and personal attacks. This is a little different. At least the others can think for themselves when they stoop to name-calling by using their own foul words. Apparently Wilber isn’t smart enough to do that, so he uses someone else’s words for his attack.
Thank you very much for the compliment.
I don’t know how I can be “alienated from government” when I’m actively working to change it for the better. What I am unhappy with is the direction of this state and country, and anyone who is happy with it has their head in the sand.
Wilber is a liberal. Congratulations, but we really don’t want you. We want people who can think for themselves. But thanks for trying.

Nice Google ad for the Gov. Glad to see you're finally gettign it, dan.

Guru as they say if the shoe fits wear it.

wilberboy said...

I wasn’t name calling it is just you that I though of you when I read this article. I though all but you would see the parallels of your thought process as compared to the village idiot as you are on this web page. We do not need you as the purveyor of truth as you claim to be. Why don’t you just leave us to wallow in our own stupidity as you claim and you as the party of intellect move on to bigger and better things. Thank You

Communications guru said...

Wilber, are you serious? You don't call than name-calling? When the the lies, misinformation and distorations stop on this site I will glady move on.

If the shoe fits wear it. Does that mean you're a liberal?

Keith Richards said...

Kevin, no one "refutes" your arguments because most of what you spout is emotional gibberish filled with antagonistic remarks and personal attacks. If you ever manage to write something that uses factual information to build to a logical conclusion then it might be worth discussing. Maybe.

Communications guru said...

You can't be serious?

jusmyopin said...

There ya go Keith, you said exactly what I was thinking. There is never anything to refute with someone who speaks nonsense.

GURU THIS IS YOU FROM ALL YOUR POSTING THAT I HAVE READ FROM YOU.

Keith Richards said...

I like the definition but I'm a bit dubious about the idiot being useful. There is some entertainment value and he/she does set an example of how not to act, but useful? That might just be stretching it a bit.

Communications guru said...

Hey, Wilbur have you ever heard of the words “responsibility” or “accountability?” I didn’t think so, you’re a republican.

Communications guru said...

Again, Keith you must have far too many years touring with the Stones, plus that head injury thing. Do I have to go back in the archives to show you debates where after not being to factually disprove my points you resort to name-calling?

RKG said...

I used to enjoy this forum as a place where there could be the mostly honest exchange of ideas. It has devolved into name-calling lunacy. How sad.

Republican Michigander said...

Too many conservatives are starting to sound like kevins/guru. Let him be the bad guy here.

Not-a-RINO said...

rkg--

You are right that this place is where there can be an honest exchange of ideas. It appears to me that some bloggers are upset with Communications Guru and his know-it-all attitude. It looks to me that they think that the only reason Guru goes to church on Sunday is because he thinks God needs his advice. They may be on to something.

Note to Guru: It can't be that everyone is "full of it" except you ALL the time. If someone says something you think is incorrect, then explain why and make a reasonable effort to refute their position. This is called 'communication' and there's a chance you may win someone over with respect, facts and figures. People who post here aren't liars or have spent the whole day thinking of ways to tick you off. Although you have made many postings that I have not responded to, it only proves how passionately apethetic I am to your assertions.

Bloggers, let's give Guru another chance to engage in serious debate without name calling, okay?

wilberboy said...

I too came here to see what the local area Republicans are doing and what is going on in our area. I cancelled my Argus subscription for the likes of David Monk and Ed Radilkowski(Not Sure of Spelling) only to find Guru on this blog. I will keep my replys to the issues of the day and offer positive comments. I too agree let Guru be the bad guy and ignore his threads.

Communications guru said...

You have got to be kidding dan. After all the insults, name-calling and personal attacks I have endured on this blog from everyone, including you, you have the nerve to say, “let him be the bad guy.” Get real. If anyone criticizes your friends you delete the comment. Well, I’ll continue to be the bad guy, and the bad guy is anyone who says something you don’t want to hear and disagree with. To me, it means you disagree with it and can’t counter it.

Even your name, Not a rino says it all. You’re saying only hard right conservatives can be in my party, so obviously you will disagree with anything I say. That’s fine, but try a logical argument to dispute what I say for a change. I suggest you go back and read some of the posts and see how I have been attacked. I don’t have a problem being personally attacked, and if fact, I expect it. But don’t try and sell the myth it’s me that is engaging in personal attacks. Most of the time, I’m only giving back a small fraction of what I have received.

We learn all we need to know about Wilbur when he says he hates so much to see an opinion other than his own that he actually canceled his subscription to the newspaper over the letters to the editor section. Come on. They publish every letter they receive, yet that’s your reason for canceling? Well, sorry Wilbur, when I see something here I don’t agree with or more misinformation I will continue to post. There have been efforts in the past to get me to shut up with personal attacks from people like you. Like I said many, many times it’s going to take a lot more than that to get me to stop pointing out where I believe you are wrong and the many cases of misinformation and lies posted by dan.

Is it not amazing that the key reason that the terror plot in the UK was foiled was by a NSA intercept. I wonder what the Dem party will have to say about the surveillance now.

Communications guru said...

I don’t know what the Democratic Party says, but it was with a legal wiretap. Democrats have always supported legal wiretaps, but not illegally spying on U.S. citizens.

Count Me Red said...

Communications Guru - Democrats don't support anything. They are always against everything.

Not-a-RINO said...

I think it has been stressed over and over and over and over that the NSA only listens to foreign calls. The DEMs label a call from Osama's henchmen to a suspected Al Qaeda terrorist here a domestic call to a bona fide American citizen. People who believe this must also take supermarket tabloids (I call the birdcage liners) as gospel. I am confident that if, for example, some unnamed person at the Press & Argus wanted to call his Grandma in Florida, no one is listening in. =:o)

Communications guru said...

You couldn’t be more wrong rino. U.S. citizens are being spied on and listened to illegally. There’s no disputing that. Well, actually, that they are being spied on is not being disputed, but that it’s illegal is being disputed. This president says if he does it, it’s not illegal because he’s the president. Kind of reminds you of a guy named Nixon.
I’m reading a good book by John Dean called “Worse than Watergate” that’s very interesting. You should read it.

I wouldn’t be so sure that if “some unnamed person at the Press & Argus” was talking to his grandmother in Florida someone would not be listening in. With the bushies love of secrecy and the way they go after anyone who disagree with them anything is possible.
The sad thing is it’s so easy to listen to calls legally in the U.S., and it appears they actually did it right and got the required warrants in this case. This is how the war on terrorism should be fought.

Count Me Red said...

Guru - there is nothing you say that isn't disputed fact. Now you are the resident expert on the facts? That's funny. You wouldn't know a fact if it slapped you in the teeth. The reason the "bushies" (there you go with the disrespect again) is because of the traitors in the congress who never met a secret they couldn't sell. That's a proven fact. I think we should have even more tightened security of our secrets. We don't need to know everything and the press should be prosecuted when they violate our safety and our war on terror. They put our military in harms way constantly with their smug telling of classified information. Prosecute them!!!!!!!!
In fact, there should only be one person in prison. Every time someone new gets convicted, they should kill the convict and replace him/her with the new one. We'd have a lot less crime that way in short order.

Communications guru said...

I’m with you communist, trash the Constitution we don’t need it because all it does is give citizens rights and keeps the government out of our lives. Now I know why you have the name “count me red” because you’re true colors are showing.
I’ll let this idiotic rant stand without me debunking it. It speaks volumes about the kind of person you are.

Page Field said...

Man, the "Guru" just mashed every pitch. The bullpen looks depleted.

What do you do?

Count Me Red said...

Guru - I love it when you call me names. You are the debunker? Ha, you are the spewer and the chief potty mouth. I've been posting here for a long time and never been kicked off. Whats the matter Kevins, can't you speak the truth without busting a blood vessel? Take some meds or something. Apologize for being a cad, we need you here telling us the truth so we don't lose our way. I miss you already. Oh Gee, how will we know how to think straight without our Kevins to rescue us from all the lies. Enjoy the peace and quiet thought, he'll be back. He likes being abused. Whaaaa were is our Kevins?

Communications guru said...

I’m not calling you any names, Communist. I love it when you post, and please keep on doing it. When, and if, you ever say anything sensible, I’ll debunk it, but your last two rants don’t qualify.
I suggest you try and find a wider audience for your “wisdom.” You do more for our side when you post anyway. Keep up the good work.
