Pork Bill passes the Senate

Right now, the only hope that this thing gets less offensive is if we take a long look at HR1 and see the crap in it and get that out to our lazy reps who oftentimes do not actually read the bill. Maybe some of the worst crap, like the ACORN funds, health care takeover, and various "Bridges to nowhere" can get cut out in conference. I don't expect it.

Go to Thomas and see the real thing for yourself and how bad this thing is.

This is the "change" provided by the Obama administration and the post 2006 Congress. They spend so much that they make the Bush and 2002-2006 Republicans look like true fiscal conservatives. We've gone from fiscal leftism to blatent socialism.

Where's the 1994 Republicans when we need them.

Create a crisis, exploit a crisis. It's the Progressive way. Typically they manufacture a phoney crisis, convince the idiots that the world is coming to an end (e.g. Global Warming), and off they go.
This time they crreated a real world crisis, and they don't know how bad it is or how to put the genie back in the bottle. There is no one else that they can blame for this mess, even though they are doing their best to blame capitalists (Evil Wall Street), but the Progressives made the mess by forcing the bankers to make all those bad loans.
There are tons of money sitting on the sidelines looking for investments. This administration has created a crisis atmosphere, and no one is willing to invest with all of the uncertainty. They come up with this bogus "stimulus" package, which will spend a lot of money that we don't have, on things that we neither need or want, and which will take us in a direction that the vast majority of the people in the country do not want to go (totalitarian socialism/communism).

Looks like the stock market does not like the Barry and company pork package either. Lowest Dow since 11-20-08

Rep. Xavier Becerra - "What our Republican colleagues don't understand is that they just voted against the largest tax cut for middle class families in the history of our country." Welcome to the wilderness for the next 40 years GOP - again.

Bluzie - You can take a tax cut (lipstick), place it on a pig (this bill as a whole), and it's still a pig.

Well I think what we have here is a basic philosophical difference!
These are tough times and I of course support the stimulus bill, but it makes us all nervous to borrow so much money. I wish like everyone else we were not in this situation.
We are though, and I am hoping for the best.
